Be set apart in your calling

Bishop’s office, room 201, & room 303
Today Sunday 3 September 11.00am

All members, men and women, exercise priesthood authority as they fulfill their callings. Both the scriptures and modern church leaders instruct bishoprics to set church members apart in their callings under priesthood authority — and our ward needs to catch up on this duty. If you have not been set apart in your calling, please stay after the second hour today so the bishopric can do so. Organization presidencies have been given a list of members who need to be set apart and which member of the bishopric has been assigned to perform this ordinance. This list is also posted on the door of the bishop’s office.

Building cleaning

Throughout September

In September it will once again be our ward’s turn to help keep our church building clean. We invite all members to participate in at least one cleaning session throughout the month. Signup sheets will be passed around in second-hour meetings. For more information and to volunteer, see the enclosed flyer or visit jamaica1stward.org/cleaning

Tithing declaration

Starting Sunday 3 September

Tithing declaration is an opportunity to meet with the bishop and review your tithing and other church records. All members should plan to participate. More information will be sent out soon. In the meantime, you are invited to set an appointment for tithing declaration at jamaica1stward.org/appointments
