Building cleaning

Throughout November

In November it is once again be our ward’s turn to help keep our church building clean. We invite all members to participate in at least one cleaning session throughout the month. Signup sheets will be passed around in second-hour meetings. More information will be available soon at jamaica1stward.org/cleaning

The church’s General Handbook (17.4) states: “In teacher council meetings, teachers counsel together about principles of Christlike teaching. They also counsel about how to improve gospel learning and teaching. They use Teaching in the Savior’s Way as a resource.”


Thanksgiving linger longer

Members and friends are welcome to a special Thanksgiving linger longer following second-hour meetings.


Youth can now preregister for FSY

Preregistration is now open for next summer’s FSY (For the Strength of Youth) conferences. Youth turning 14 or older in 2024 can attend. Youth from the Lynbrook stake have been assigned to the FSY session that will be held 22–27 July 2024 at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Bus transportation will be provided.
