This message was sent to all ward members via email, 13 January 2024.
Dear brothers and sisters,
The 2024 ward calendar is now available. It is attached as a PDF to this message. It is also available at jamaica1stward.org/calendar. Print copies will be distributed in the coming weeks.
The ward calendar includes ward and organization activities as well as stake and churchwide events such as stake youth activities, stake conference, general conference, and other broadcasts. We have sought to include as much information as is available at this time. While the ward and its organizations will make an effort to stick to this calendar, note that activities, dates, times, and locations are subject to change and cancelation.
For the most up-to-date information, we invite you to:
- Pick up the sacrament meeting program each week, or view it online. Remember that you can also subscribe to receive the program and other notifications from the ward website right in your email inbox.
- Regularly attend second-hour meetings and listen for announcements from organization presidencies.
- Log into the churchโs website using your Church Account and view the online calendar there. You can also sync the online calendar with your personal calendar, which will show church events and activities alongside your personal calendar entries on your mobile phone or other electronic device.ย
- Download the Gospel Living app, which you can access using your Church Account. The ward and its organizations as well as ward members can use the appโs chat function to communicate with each other and share invitations to and information about upcoming activities.
If you donโt have a Church Account, register for one using your church membership record number, or get help signing up for one at the help desk during linger longer on the 2nd Sunday of each month.
We hope you will find this calendar helpful as you plan your and your familyโs time. We invite you to participate as much as possible in church, stake, ward, and organization activities, all of which are designed to provide spiritual strength to individuals and families and move the Lordโs work forward here in the Jamaica 1st Ward and throughout the world.
Sincerely,
Dustin Tyler Joyce
Bishop, Jamaica 1st Ward
