Announcements

Paying for upcoming temple trips

Members participating in upcoming temple trips on 8 February and 22 March are encouraged to pay the ward for their train tickets as soon as possible. This will help keep the ward budget on track and allow the ward to plan additional temple trips.

The cost for each temple trip is $17.60 per person roundtrip. Payment may be made two ways:

• Cash or check: On the Tithing and Other Offerings form, write “temple trip” under “Other”. Hand the envelope only to a member of the bishopric.
• Online: Using the church’s online donations portal, put the amount for your ticket under “General Offerings”. If possible, notify Bishop Joyce that you have made payment so the ward can reallocate the amount to the correct budget category.

New institute class over Zoom for those preparing to serve missions and to receive the temple endowment

A new regional institute class, “Traveling Christ’s Covenant Path: Advanced Mission and Temple Preparation”, is being held over Zoom for those preparing to serve missions and those young adults preparing to receive their endowment.

Participants can choose between two sections: Wednesdays at 7.00am or Thursdays at 8.30pm. High school seniors who are considering missionary service are encouraged to participate in the Thursday evening class. As an added incentive, those who do so will be able to use the institute classes they attend as make-up days for previous seminary absences.

Classes began Wednesday 15 January and Thursday 16 January.
